You can now download Gear 5 Versus Tech Tech on Xbox and PC. The test began July 19th at 1 PM EST, and it runs through the same time on July 22nd. A second tech test will run the following weekend, from July 26 at 1 PM ET through July 29th at the same time. In order to qualify for the tech test, you must hold an Xbox Game Pass or have pre-ordered the game on Xbox One or PC.
The file size is ~11GB for both Xbox and PC.
The Gears 5 Tech Test includes:
- • Three modes; Arcade, Escalation, and King of the Hill.
- • Two multiplayer maps; District and Training Grounds.
- • A tutorial or as they call it “Bootcamp”.
- • “Tour of Duty” which is a progression system that rewards players with the “Tester Weapon Skin” by completing certain challenges. These skins will be available for the full game.
