Over the last few days, allegations of sexual harassment surfaced regarding Chris Avellone, an industry veteran who had been serving as the narrative designer on Techland’s upcoming Dying Light 2. In consideration of those allegations, the studio announced today that the partnership between Techland and Avellone is over.
The statement from Techland reads, in part: “We treat matters of sexual harassment and disrespect with utmost care, and have no tolerance for such behaviors – it applies to both our employees as well as external consultants, Chris among them.” You can read the full statement below.

Avellone was one of the public-facing people working on Dying Light 2 until this point, unveiling the game during E3 2018. According to Techland, development on Dying Light 2 continues to progress following a delay earlier this year.
