The blackjack-inspired roguelike is bringing its chaotic card battles to consoles, complete with a new update and an expanded soundtrack.

Blackjack has officially gotten out of hand.

Yogscast Games and developer Purple Moss Collectors have released Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, bringing the hit roguelike deckbuilder to a new audience on October 9, 2026.

The game takes the familiar rules of blackjack and throws them into a dungeon filled with strange cards, increasingly ridiculous combinations, and opponents determined to take your chips.

And judging by what’s in the deck, nobody here is playing fair.

Blackjack With a Roguelike Twist

At its core, Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers is a deckbuilding roguelike inspired by blackjack, but don’t expect a traditional casino experience.

Instead of relying solely on standard playing cards, players can build decks using everything from tarot cards and business cards to store loyalty cards, hall passes, and birthday cards.

Each card can introduce unusual effects, allowing players to manipulate point totals, deal damage, steal chips, and create combinations that completely break the usual rules.

Players choose a starter deck, equip Lucky Charms, and navigate branching dungeon floors while facing increasingly difficult opponents.

The goal is simple: beat the house.

The strategy? That’s where things get weird.

More Than 300 Cards and 60 Opponents

The game features more than 300 unique cards and 60 characters to defeat, giving players plenty of opportunities to experiment with different builds.

Its key features include:

  • Multiple starter decks with different playstyles
  • Unlockable decks that change future runs
  • Lucky Charms that influence gameplay
  • Special chips that activate card effects
  • Minigames and events
  • A distinctive pixel-art visual style

With so many combinations available, players can build strategies around carefully calculated decisions or embrace complete card-playing chaos.

Sometimes both.

Update 2.0.7 Arrives Alongside Console Launch

The console release also comes with Update 2.0.7, available across all platforms.

The update introduces improvements to the Pachinko event, controller support enhancements, balance adjustments, and bug fixes.

Meanwhile, the game’s official soundtrack has been expanded to include music introduced in the larger Version 2.0 update.

According to Yogscast Games, Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers generated more than $1 million in revenue during its first month on PC.

Now, console players can see what all the trouble is about.

Where Can You Play Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers?

Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers is available now on:

If you enjoy deckbuilders that reward experimentation and aren’t afraid to get a little ridiculous, this might be your next obsession.

Just remember: the house usually wins.

Unless you’ve built a deck specifically designed to make sure it doesn’t.
