The Pokémon machine continues to move forward. Hot on the heels of its first all-new mainline game on consoles with Pokémon Sword & Shield, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced a new Direct presentation focused on the beloved monster-collection franchise.
The presentation will consist of roughly 20 minutes of new information. While we don’t know what specific topics will be addressed, many fans are itching to know more about Pokémon Home, the app where your Pokémon will live between games. Last year, Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda hinted that we’ll learn more about Pokémon Home in the not-too-distant future. “I think Pokémon Home, for a lot of players, will serve as a launching pad to gather them all there and then embark on future adventures,” he told us as a part of our cover story visit.
It’s also possible that we’ll learn more about the Pokémon animated webseries that was announced in December, or the teased Detective Pikachu game for Switch.
It all goes down on Thursday, January 9 at 9:30 a.m. Eastern/6:30 a.m. Pacific. You can watch on Nintendo’s official YouTube account, or by clicking the embedded video below.
