Plus, players discovered <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/news/2023/10/24/marvels-spider-man-2-insomniac-games-says-fix-is-on-the-way-for-incorrect-flag" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a Cuban flag was displayed inside and outside the Morales household</a> rather than the expected Puerto Rican flag. A new update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 out today fixes both of these issues and more.&nbsp;

Version 1.001.003 is now live in-game, and it brings a few fixes to the game, including the aforementioned flag issue and white cube issue. It also addresses an issue where The Amazing 2 Suit’s spider logo appeared too bright in-game, and improves the game’s stability. Here’s the full update breakdown:

  • Addressed an issue where an incorrect flag was displayed
  • Addressed an issue where models would not load properly after long play sessions
  • Addressed an issue where The Amazing 2 Suit’s Spider logo appeared too bright
  • Improved stability

Developer Insomniac Games has also released a statement alongside the above patch notes specifically addressing the flag issue.

“Today’s patch corrects an error where the Cuban flag was incorrectly displayed instead of the Puerto Rican flag,” it reads. “We understand that accurate representation matters, and greatly regret this error. We sincerely apologize and will do better in the future.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hit PlayStation 5 exclusively on October 20.
