The Church in the Darkness, an undercover cult infiltration game, received a new trailer and the cultists from our previous preview are just as brainwashed as before. Game creator Richard Rouse III wanted to expand on cult ideology in this title and the trailer above shows just that. The game is going to be released on August 2 of this year for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
The standard edition retails for $19.95 and the “True Believer” special edition, which includes behind-the-scenes footage and the title’s soundtrack, retails for $29.95. You can pre-order the game for Xbox One or Nintendo Switch and get a 20-percent discount.
Players get to unravel the mystery of the cult and find out if they are truly the socialist utopia they claim to be or if there is there something more sinister at hand. Blend in with the cult, chat with members, search through cabins, anything it takes to figure out if your nephew should stay or leave.
