Developer Sumo Digital and publisher Gun Interactive announced its <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/the-game-awards-2021/2021/12/09/multiplayer-texas-chain-saw-massacre-game-announced" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asymmetric multiplayer game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre</a>, during The Game Awards in 2021, and <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/preview/2022/09/21/everythings-bloodier-in-texas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">we came away impressed with what we played of it back in September</a>. However, when we'd all be able to play the game together remained an unknown – until today.
Sumo Digital announced via an exclusive reveal with IGN that The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 18, 2023. The studio also announced that a technical test would be held on May 25, 2023, before the game’s launch later this year.

Eligibility details for the upcoming technical test will be released by Gun Interactive and Sumo Digital on social media, so tune in there if you’re interested.
