After a brief delay, Brocap Studio’s award-winning canine adventure is finally available on PC, with a free demo and a PlayStation 5 version on the way.
Some dogs are perfectly content spending the day sleeping on the couch.
Hubert has other plans.
Hubert, the award-winning indie game from Brocap Studio, officially launches on Steam on October 14, 2026, following a brief delay during Steam’s build review process.
The game stars an enthusiastic shepherd dog with a very important responsibility: herding.
And if there’s one thing video games have taught us, it’s that giving an adorable animal a seemingly simple job is an excellent way to create chaos.
Meet Hubert, the Shepherd Dog
Hubert puts players in the paws of an ambitious little shepherd dog determined to prove himself.
The game centers on his herding adventures, with canine personality and playful challenges at the heart of the experience.
Brocap Studio has been building anticipation ahead of launch through appearances at Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show.

According to the developer, Hubert has also accumulated more than 80,000 Steam wishlists.
That’s quite an audience for one hardworking pup.
An Award-Winning Indie Adventure
Hubert received the Best Game award at Game Access 2026, giving the project a notable achievement ahead of its release.
The game’s road to launch wasn’t entirely smooth, however.
A Steam build-review delay pushed its release back by two days.

Brocap Studio acknowledged the unexpected wait and thanked fans for their patience.
Now, the wait is over, and Hubert can finally get to work.
Hubert Price, Demo, and Platforms
Hubert is available now on PC via Steam for a listed price of $19.99, with a 10% launch discount planned for the first two weeks.
A free Steam demo is also available for players who want to try the game before buying.
Brocap Studio has confirmed that a PlayStation 5 version is planned, although its release date has not yet been announced.
For players who enjoy charming indie games with animal protagonists, Hubert could be worth keeping an eye on.
After all, the little guy has already won an award.
Now he just needs to get those sheep under control.
And preferably without creating a complete disaster.
