Attack on Titan 3 Opens Switch 2 Preorders, and My Soldiers Are Ready to Rage 3

My soldiers, scream out! My soldiers, rage! My soldiers… preorder?

Look, after everything Attack on Titan put us through, you’d think we’d have learned our lesson about voluntarily returning to this world. But apparently, the Wings of Freedom still have us in a chokehold.

KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force have announced that digital preorders for Attack on Titan 3 are officially open on Nintendo Switch 2. A brand-new trailer showcasing the game on Nintendo’s latest console has also arrived.

And just like that, we’re mentally back on top of Wall Maria, checking our ODM gear and wondering which beloved character is about to ruin our week.

Shinzou wo Sasageyo! We’re doing this again.

From the Fall of Wall Maria to the Final Battle

Attack on Titan 3 is being positioned as the culmination of Omega Force’s action game series, covering the story from the Survey Corps’ beginnings through its dramatic conclusion.

Players will step into the boots of a Scout Regiment member and fight alongside the familiar cast as the events of Hajime Isayama’s story unfold.

That means returning to a world where humanity’s survival is constantly hanging by a thread, the Titans are terrifying, and the phrase “just one more episode” has historically been a terrible decision.

And if the game captures even a fraction of the intensity of the anime’s biggest battles, we might need to emotionally prepare ourselves before picking up a controller.

Because there’s nothing quite like flying through the air with ODM gear while desperately trying not to become someone’s lunch.

The Wings of Freedom Come With Preorder Bonuses

KOEI TECMO has also revealed several editions and bonuses for players ready to enlist.

The standard edition will be available digitally and physically, while a special Steelbook launch edition featuring ICONART will be offered on physical platforms.

There’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes:

  • Base game
  • Digital artbook
  • Character customization pack
  • Original equipment pack
  • Starter item pack

Players who preorder digitally will receive the Wings of Freedom Earrings customization item.

An additional Wings of Freedom Hoodie will be available as an early-purchase bonus. Physical copies qualify during the first production run, while digital purchases qualify through December 23, 2026.

Look, if we’re going to risk our lives fighting Titans, we might as well represent the Scout Regiment properly.

Erwin would expect nothing less.

Attack on Titan 2 Veterans Get Something Extra

If you’ve already survived Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, your previous service won’t go unnoticed.

Players with existing save data from either game will receive additional in-game bonuses in Attack on Titan 3, provided the save data is stored on the same console.

KOEI TECMO hasn’t revealed exactly what those rewards will be yet.

Considering everything the Scout Regiment has endured, I’m hoping the reward includes some much-needed therapy.

When Does Attack on Titan 3 Release?

Attack on Titan 3 launches December 10, 2026, on:

  • Nintendo Switch 2
  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PC via Steam

The game will feature Japanese voice acting, with text available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

Nintendo Switch 2 digital preorders are available now, alongside the newly released platform-specific trailer.

Dedicate Your Hearts. Again.

There’s a reason Attack on Titan remains such a defining anime experience.

Between the incredible action, morally complicated characters, unforgettable reveals, and a soundtrack that could convince you to charge directly into danger, the series knows how to make every moment feel monumental.

And then there’s Erwin Smith.

That man could deliver a speech convincing me to run straight toward a Titan, and I’d probably be halfway there before remembering I am, in fact, 4’11” and absolutely not built for the Scout Regiment (or titans in general).

But that’s the magic of Attack on Titan. Even when you know what’s coming, the story still manages to pull you right back into the fight.

Now, Attack on Titan 3 is giving fans another chance to experience that world from inside the action.

Whether it becomes the definitive gaming adaptation remains to be seen, but one thing is certain:

The Scouts are being called back into action, and apparently, we still haven’t learned how to stay behind the walls.

So tell us: Are you ready to dedicate your heart one more time, or did the anime already take everything you had left?
