Who knew gardening could destroy friendships?
Forget peaceful afternoons tending to your tomatoes. Planted! has officially launched on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S today, October 29, 2026, and this is definitely not your grandmother’s gardening simulator.
Developed by Cloth Cat Games and published by Curveball Games, Planted! is a chaotic multiplayer party game where players grow vegetables, launch produce at one another, and compete to become the ultimate gardening champion.
Yes, we’re throwing carrots now. And apparently, it’s competitive.
Planted! Brings Competitive Gardening to Consoles
At its core, Planted! takes a simple concept and makes it wonderfully ridiculous.
Players must sow, grow, and throw vegetables to score points while competing against friends across increasingly absurd environments.
Rather than carefully cultivating a beautiful garden, you’ll be dodging attacks, deploying power-ups, and doing whatever it takes to climb the leaderboard.
Think of it as gardening meets party-game warfare.
Because nothing says friendship like launching a freshly harvested vegetable at somebody’s face.
Eight Arenas, Endless Vegetable Warfare

Planted! features eight multiplayer arenas, each introducing unique obstacles and opportunities for chaos.
Players will compete across environments including:
- Windy mountainsides
- Cavernous cave systems
- Half-built skyscrapers
- Active volcanoes
- Some suspiciously normal-looking farmyards
And because simply throwing vegetables apparently wasn’t enough, the game introduces a collection of ridiculous power-ups.
Weed bombs, spud turrets, and mysterious green clones can all help turn the tide of competition.
Honestly, the spud turret alone deserves our attention.
Play With Friends Locally or Online

Planted! supports one to four players, with both local and online multiplayer available.
Crossplay is also supported, making it easier for friends to compete across compatible platforms.
Whether you’re sharing a couch or challenging friends online, the goal remains the same: grow your produce, launch it strategically, and score more points than everyone else.
And if you’re the competitive friend who turns every casual game night into a championship tournament, this might be your moment.
There’s a Single-Player Story Mode, Too
Not feeling particularly social?
Planted! also includes a dedicated single-player campaign that explores the surprisingly cutthroat world of competitive gardening.
Players travel through different locations, complete challenges, and face boss battles while developing skills that carry over into multiplayer.
It’s a chance to practice your vegetable warfare before unleashing it on unsuspecting friends.
Consider it training for the produce Olympics.

Gardening Has Officially Gone Off the Rails
There’s something undeniably entertaining about a game that takes a traditionally relaxing activity and turns it into competitive chaos.
With eight arenas, local and online multiplayer, crossplay, outrageous power-ups, and a single-player campaign, Planted! looks ready to bring a little agricultural anarchy to game night.
And honestly, we respect any game brave enough to weaponize potatoes.
Planted! is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Would you dominate the garden, or are you getting eliminated by a flying carrot?
