Starfield Has Gone Gold

  <p>Starfield is a staggeringly ambitious game, but it appears to be ready to go a few weeks from its September 6 launch. Bethesda has announced that the sci-fi RPG has gone gold.</p>

<p>Going "gold” basically means the game is complete and ready to be sent to be <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/2023/06/26/update-bethesda-confirms-starfield-physical-standard-editions-will-include-a-disc">printed on discs</a> and shipped to stores. Bethesda also revealed when players can pre-load the digital version of the game. Xbox players can do so beginning tomorrow, August 17. Steam users get their turn on August 30.</p>

<p>Starfield is Bethesda's biggest open-world RPG yet, with players embarking on an epic storyline that will take them across thousands of planets in a massive cosmic sandbox.
