<p>The Nintendo Switch 2 launched earlier this month on June 5, and since then, we've reviewed <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/review/mario-kart-world/roam-if-you-want-to">Mario Kart World</a>, <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/review/nintendo-switch-2-welcome-tour/homework-the-video-game#:~:text=Welcome%20Tour%20looks%20amazing%2C%20and,the%20experience%20feels%20like%20homework.">Welcome Tour</a>, and <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/tech/2025/06/09/switch-2-review-a-safe-but-effective-bet">the console itself</a>. We have also checked out <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/impressions/2025/06/12/the-switch-2-games-to-play-when-youre-done-with-mario-kart-world">various re-releases on Switch 2 to see how they run</a>. Now, though, for the first time since the Switch 2 launched, Nintendo has pushed out a new hardware update. </p><p>Dubbed <a href="https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/68473/~/system-update-information-for-nintendo-switch%26nbsp%3B2#current">Ver. 20.1.5</a>, this Switch 2 update couldn't be more unexciting, to be honest. Here's what Nintendo says it does: "General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience." Wow! If you're anything like me, you didn't even notice this update happened and didn't recognize any changes from it either.</p><iframe width="560" height="315" frameBorder="0" width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VHVEeeBkWAA" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay" allowfullscreen="true"> </iframe><p>Nonetheless, the Switch 2 has received its first post-launch update. </p><p>In the meantime, read about how the <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/2025/06/11/nintendo-switch-2-is-the-fastest-selling-console-ever-with-35-million-units-sold-in">Switch 2 is the fastest-selling console ever</a>, with 3.5 million units sold in its first four days, and then <a href="https://www.gameinformer.com/video-podcast/2025/06/20/switch-2-review-the-alters-and-fbc-firebreak-feat-eric-van-allen">listen to the latest episode of <em>The Game Informer Show</em></a>, where we give our thoughts on the console. </p><p><em>Is there anything you want in a future Switch 2 update?
